We welcome prospective undergraduate students and their families to join us on campus to explore the Augusta University community, including an opportunity to learn about the admissions process and university information from an Admissions Counselor and a walking tour of our Summerville and Health Sciences campuses.

Daily Campus Visit (Undergraduate)

Daily Campus Visits at Augusta University are offered throughout the year for incoming freshmen and transfer students. Visits are offered every Monday through Friday and on select Saturdays each month during the academic year.

These sessions a walking tour of our Summerville and Health Sciences campuses, including our freshman residence hall.

Group Visit

Augusta University offers group visits for high school-aged students on behalf of schools, academic programs or community organizations. Visits typically include walking tours of the historic Summerville and Health Sciences campuses along with a presentation from an Admissions Counselor.

Information Sessions

Register for virtual visits with an Augusta University admissions counselor to learn about our distinctive campus and university along with relevant admissions timelines and important deadlines every student should know.

Information Sessions are offered via Microsoft Teams at 11 am on Fridays.Session guests receive a presentation from an Admissions Counselor along with an informative Q & A period. We look forward to connecting with you!

Dual Enrollment Interest Meeting

Dual Enrollment Interest Meetings will introduce students to the opportunities available for them to take college level courses at Augusta University while they are still enrolled in high school. This session will explain the state of Georgia’s funding program, cover how to apply, and help students determine if Dual Enrollment is the right fit for them.

Transfer Information Sessions

Transfer Information Sessions are for students who have completed any amount of coursework at other technical colleges, colleges, or universities and are exploring their options to continue their studies.

Students are able to take a first-hand, no-obligation look at their field of interest. Transfer sessions show all that Augusta University has to offer and will give you the opportunity to ask questions about programs that interest you! You will hear about admissions requirements, academic programs, and campus life.

Most importantly, you will see what is waiting for you in Augusta and how you can become a Jaguar and leave your mark at AU!

Professional Scholars Information Session

Professional Scholars Information Sessions provide interested high school dental and medical students with detailed information on Augusta University’s unique early assurance, accelerated Professional Scholars Programs (BS-MD and BS-DMD). Students will have the opportunity to learn about the two-part admissions process, understand what to expect once in the program, and hear from students currently enrolled in the program.

We create unique visit experiences on campus for prospective students - dual enrollment, transfer and incoming freshman undergraduates - designed to explore becoming an Augusta University Jaguar more deeply. Usually, these events enable guests to engage with more members of the campus community and aspects of student life at Augusta University.

See Augusta Preview Days are an opportunity for students and their families to come learn about AU through chatting with campus services and offices, attending breakout sessions, and taking campus tours. We offer two events per year.

Health Science Campus

Physical Address:112015th Street, Augusta, GA 30912

Parking is located in Lot 61 - Laney High School campus (near the football stadium).

The entrance is located on Blounts Avenue and Laney-Walker Blvd. It is first-come, first-served. If parking is unavailable in Lot 61, you may park in any other Medical College of Georgia parking lot on campus as long as the space is not reserved.

Important Tips:

  • Display the parking sign in your windshield
  • You can download the SmartTraxx app for iOS or Android to locate your shuttle. Your specific shuttle is labeled "Gold Route".
  • Ride the shuttle bus through campus to the Health Sciences building and exit the shuttle.
  • When leaving campus, wait for the shuttle bus in front of the Allied Health Sciences building and they will transport you to your car.

  • Start going east towards Augusta
  • Take Exit 195 / Wheeler Road
  • Turn Right off of exit ramp onto Wheeler Road
  • Go about 2.1 miles
  • Turn Right at light for Walton Way Ext. (Chevron Gas Station will be on your left)
  • Immediately get into Left lane
  • Turn Left at first red light onto Walton Way
  • Go about 2.9 miles
  • Turn right onto Arsenal Avenue
  • Turn Left at the stop sign onto Bellevue Avenue
  • Turn Right at the stop sign onto Walker Street
  • Turn Left at the stop sign
  • Park in Lot 121 in front of Fanning Hall
  • Make your way behind Fanning Hall
  • The Benet House is located in the back right corner of the courtyard

From I-20 Coming from Columbia:

  • Start going west towards Augusta
  • Take the Walton Way Ext. Exit
  • Turn Left off of exit ramp onto Walton Way Ext.
  • Go about 1 mile (stay in left lane to turn onto Walton Way)
  • Turn left at the red light onto Walton Way
  • Go about 2.9 miles
  • Turn right onto Arsenal Avenue
  • Turn Left at the stop sign onto Bellevue Avenue
  • Turn Right at the stop sign onto Walker Street
  • Turn Left at the stop sign
  • Park in Lot 121 in front of Fanning Hall
  • Make your way behind Fanning Hall
  • The Benet House is located in the back right corner of the courtyard

Coming from Savannah or Statesboro

  • Come towards Augusta
  • Look for signs for Bobby Jones Exp / I-520
  • Turn on Bobby Jones Expressway heading West
  • Take the Wrightsboro Road Exit and Turn Right
  • Go about 3 miles
  • Turn Left onto Highland Avenue
  • At the end of Highland Avenue take a Right onto Walton Way
  • Turn right onto Arsenal Avenue
  • Turn Left at the stop sign onto Bellevue Avenue
  • Turn Right at the stop sign onto Walker Street
  • Turn Left at the stop sign
  • Park in Lot 121 in front of Fanning Hall
  • Make your way behind Fanning Hall
