Synopsis
Sister Irene faces the down the Valak again
Four years after the terrifying events at a Romanian monastery, Sister Irene continues her fearless investigation of the demon known as Valak. Traveling across Europe to France in 1956, Irene hears the story of a murdered priest. Something evil is stirring. Gathering all of her courage, Sister Irene is set to face Valak, the Nun once more. The monstrous Nun preys on the weak and the fearful, possessing their bodies to do her bidding. Sister Irene must protect the people who are most at risk of being possessed by the greatest evil she has ever witnessed.

Peter Safran and James Wan produce the next chapter in the Conjuring Universe
The Nun 2 is a supernatural horror movie and the ninth installment in the Conjuring Universe Franchise. Co-produced by horror maestros James Wan and Peter Safran, the Nun 2 is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and is a direct sequel to the 2018 film,The Nun. This second installment is directed by American filmmaker and screenwriter Michael Chaves. Chaves has two successful entries in the Conjuring Universe having directed The Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. He is working from a screenplay written by Akela Cooper who has screenwriting credits for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as well as M3GAN and Malignant which was also directed by James Wan.
The two key returning cast members from the franchise are Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene who once again faces the Valak, played by Bonnie Aarons. Jonas Bloquet reprises his role as Frenchie from the first film. Rounding out the cast and new to the franchise are Anna Popplewell and Storm Reid both of whom are set to encounter the Nun for the first time. Find our full guide to The Nun 2 right here.
