Description

The Freak 98 pushes the limit right up to the maximum 98 MPH level with no excuses and no remorse. All governing bodies of softball including ASA and USSSA approve this bat. Thanks to the strength of its patented and unmatched E-Flex Technology, Freak 98 generates maximum flex through the barrel ensuring the best performance when the ball meets the bat. E-Flex Technology creates a massive sweet spot. This allows for maximum energy to be captured, harnessed and fully optimized when the bat strikes the ball. This means that when the ball connects with the bat, very little energy is lost through unnecessary ball deformation. The E-Flex revolutionary design allows the barrel of the bat to ‘snap’ back to its original shape with a greater degree of velocity than other bats on the market. It uniquely combines strength, flexibility and delivers to hitters both a massive sweet spot and remarkable durability. Feel the need for speed? Feel the power in this top-performing bat. This bat comes with a twelve-month manufacturers warranty. Get your hands on a Freak 98. Free Shipping.

Pros: First hit with the Freak was the furthest I've ever hit the ball. The ball pops off the bat hard. Even a bad swing has the shortstop ducking for cover.

Cons: Only that I bought this bat at the beginning of the season instead of at the end.

Pops

Pros: Love this bat. First time using it in batting practice I was hitting bombs to left and left-center, 285-315 feet when I'm usually a line-drive hitter. Have my first real game tonight, can't wait! Even hits that feel like they are off the end of the bat travel for miles

Cons: Haven't found any yet

Pros: price of this bat isnt bad

Cons: walls are very stiff, doesnt have much pop, and it is very heavy at the handle.. i also have a juggernaut that just blows this bat out of the water..

Pros: Good pop, but I like the Anderson Matrix better. It has a shorter break in period, and the ball just carries forever off the bat, even to the opposite field.

Cons: Takes too long to break in.

Pros: I am not a hr threat and never have been. I still am not, but this bat turned my lazy flyballs into wraning track doubles and triples.I give it 4 out of five only because I have not hit the elusive HR yet. I'll give it five when I do.

Cons: took about 75 abs to break in. I heard it snaps in half, but I have never seen that happen to any miken freak in our league.

About the Brand

Miken Freak 98 ASA / USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat MSFN | JustBats.com (3)

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
